About Ms. Wachs
This is my third year at Green Woods Charter School. I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade this year and be your learner's teacher. At Green Woods Charter School I previously taught sixth-grade Math and Language Arts. I love teaching and helping my students learn and grow.
I studied at the University of Michigan where I received my degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Mathematics and Language Arts. I received my Master's of Education from Temple University with a focus in Instructional Technology. I have experience working with students in kindergarten through eighth grade in Ann Arbor, MI and Voorhees, NJ. For the past few years, I have taught 5th grade as well as elementary science and technology at a private school in New Jersey.
Outside of school, I am a running club coach for Students Run Philly Style and enjoy helping the students find their own joy in running and taking on the exciting challenge of Broad Street. I also love to cheer on my Michigan Wolverines in football, basketball, and hockey (Go Blue!). And of course, my Philadelphia sports teams: my Philadelphia Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies.
